# Selling Tokens

To sell tokens, make sure you already have [added liquidity](/docs/token-management-and-update/adding-liquidity.md) beforehand. Simply click on the `Sell Tokens 📉` button under `Menu > My Tokens > [Name]` and follow the instructions. You will be prompted to submit the amount of tokens to sell.

{% hint style="info" %}
Make sure you still have tokens left in the contract, otherwise it won't be possible. This can happen if you added 100% to the liquidity pool, if you burned or airdropped everything, or renounced the contract.
{% endhint %}

Reply to the message and wait for the bot to estimate gas and price impact for this transaction. The price impact is the percentage your token will fall when selling. If you sell a huge amount of the supply it could crash the price and therefore harm your own project and community. Make sure to double-check before confirming the transaction.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://devbot.gitbook.io/docs/token-management-and-update/selling-tokens.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
