# Updating Taxes & Limits

{% hint style="info" %}
Updating percentages always follows the same procedure, no matter if it's your deployer or pool tax, or maximum transaction or wallet percentage.
{% endhint %}

Simply click on the corresponding button and reply with your updated percentage. The same rules apply as when configuring your token before launch. This means any [tax needs to be set between 0 and 25%,](/docs/launching-a-new-token/setting-taxes.md) while any [maximum percentage needs to be set between 0.5 and 100%](/docs/launching-a-new-token/setting-limits.md), both in steps of 0.1%.

The only difference when configuring these settings before launch is the need to send an update transaction to the contract, now that it is live on the blockchain. You will see a menu appear with the estimated gas cost. Simply click `Confirm ✅` and wait for it to finish. The menu will refresh once the update has taken place

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://devbot.gitbook.io/docs/token-management-and-update/updating-taxes-and-limits.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
